Roles and responsibilities

• Rhona provides financial leadership across Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Nations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Rhona is responsible for the long term financial strategy of the division as well as managing its overall financial performance, investment prioritisation and financial risk management in partnership with the Director, Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Nations.

Biography

Rhona is Finance Director for Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Nations, one of the largest divisions within the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú – delivering local, regional and nations services to millions of people each day across the UK on television, radio and mobile platforms. Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Nations operate from over 50 locations across all four UK nations, with major bases in Glasgow, Cardiff, Salford, Bristol, Birmingham, London and Belfast.

Rhona’s previous roles include Chief Operating Officer, MD Group and Finance and Operations Director of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú’s Radio & Education division, leading on the finance, business management, change and operations functions across Children’s, Learning, Radio, Music and Arts on all platforms of TV, Radio and Online. She also led the Corporation’s medium and longer term financial strategy as Head of Corporate Finance, Head of Major Projects and Investments in Journalism Group, and supporting Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Sport’s rights and negotiations.

Before joining the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú, Rhona advised on mid-market mergers and acquisitions in the retail and media sectors. She is a member the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales. Rhona is also a Trustee of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú’s charity Children in Need and Chairs the Children in Need Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.

Expenses are costs incurred by Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú staff on behalf of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú and claimed through the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's expenses system.

Central bookings are costs incurred on behalf of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú and booked through the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's central bookings system. Both expenses and central bookings are published every three months.
