Our great great grandfather had various health issues/problems and this machine was recommended by the physicians at the time. These blood circulators were manufactured in their thousands in the decade leading up to World War I and promised relief for a number of complaints such as deafness, heart disease and nervousness. It worked by massaging the body to treat the affected area. They were made in Leeds by the British Appliances Manufacturing Co.
