Ships Bible

Contributed by Henry

My Great,Great Grandfather Captain J.E Dutton was given this Bible "for years of kindnesses ot the orphan & Destitute children who crossed the atlantic in SS Prussina 1871-74". He was captain of the Prussina and Sardinian and helped Annie Macpherson take many orphans from Liverpool to start a new life in Canada. The bible is full of hand written notes from Captain Dutton, held a service on board everyday for his passengers and crew.
