This pectoral cross was given to the Rt Rev Tim Thornton, Bishop of Truro, when he was consecrated Bishop of Sherboure in Southwark Cathedral in 2001. It was given by Carol Anne Phillips. It was bought in a shop called Watts in London where it was second hand having been the property of another bishop. Unfortunately there is no record of who the other bishop was. Bishop Tim says the cross is 2000-year old universal symbol of the Christian faith.
