Personal messages were sent by the owner's grandfather to his wife and children. He sent them from the Somme and came back from the war in 1919.

Although this is an interesting object, can you explain in your description why it contributes to A History of the World and is more than a piece of family history"
I am disappointed that you found a greeting from 1901 - Boer War irrelevant when you have accepted this contribution from the 1st World War - the fact that my letter is written on bullet paper, dated and sent from South Africa to a UK family is the same as these postcards.
