This Rolex Oyster wrist watch was one of a series specially made and sent by Rolex to prisoners of war in German camps. This one was sent to my father who was imprisoned. He was part of the 51st Highland Division captured at St. Valery en Caen. The watch was one of 3000 made and sent to British POWs. The face is black so as not to reflect light. The strap is not original.
