From the permanent collection of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) this exquisite work on paper is displayed in the Foyle Gallery of the Brunei Gallery, SOAS the artists choice of colour and pigments evokes the narrative scrolls (pata) used by travelling storytellers and captures the influence of Indian folk and village arts traditions, particularly those of Bengal.
