Coin from Lourdes

Contributed by AHOW event in Omagh

This is a coin which my auntie gave me from her pilgrimage to Lourdes in 2008. Every year many people, from Northern Ireland and from all over the world, come together to pray in Lourdes. This belongs in "A History of the World" as it defines a place where people from all over the world come together for the same reason therefore linking us together. This coin has the added value as I am able to tell a story about the place it came from and the importance of it to my culture.
