Social piece of furniture #6 was made by Anders Ruhwald in 2008 and acquired by the Crafts Council Collection in 2009
The piece is sculptural but references a domestic familiar object through the inclusion of a long table leg. The black glazed forearm and fist attached to the table leg are beautifully crafted and just rest against a wall defying that it could ever perform a traditional domestic function.
