There are many programs that support the playback of video and audio. Some of these are:

Watching videos online
Videos on services like YouTube, Vimeo and MetaCafe are mostly user generatedCreated by a user or users rather than a company.. But YouTube is starting to add more professional content, eg films and music videos from studios and labels.
Movie streaming services are available. Streaming is where bits of the file are sent to you as you watch or listen. This is instead of downloading the entire file beforehand.
Example services include: Sky TV, Amazon Prime, Britbox, Netflix, Disney +, Apple TV +.
Watching TV online
All of the major TV channels have online catch-up services which let you watch TV that has already aired. Some of these services also let you watch live TV. These include:

Many people now watch TV online, often through the same services that provide movie streaming. Programmes can be watched at any time of the day, and on different devices such as smartphones, laptops, game consoles and tablets.
Programmes are often only available for a limited period of time after they鈥檝e aired.
Listening to music online

Most mainstream radio stations provide a streaming service and there are plenty of stations out there that aren鈥檛 well known that you can tune in and listen to for free.
