My dress was inspired by pictures of celebrities wearing dungaree influenced attire and African prints. I wanted to use something more original than jeans or a denim jacket. I've had this old turtle-neck dress for ages. I used kanga fabric brought from Tanzania. I chose to use this fabric not only because it is made from cotton a renewable source but it was bought for a reasonable price therefore with the promise that the growers and workers have a fair wage. I'm pleased with the outcome I think it has a summer/festival vibe and is wearable and original.
