This dress is inspired by the form of the traditional Mexican tortilla, the dress wraps around the body and clings to it giving it at more modern tailored look.The ruffled layers at the bottom are inspired by the Mexican carnival dresses, which use full circle dresses when they dance, which give a layer ruffled appearance.The dress itself is made from soft leather, with the bottom layers made from raw silk.The colours are warm Mexican colours but also in trend for summer 2008.
