My design was strongly inspired by Mexican culture and I particularly focused on the colours of the flag. I feel that the red also symbolises the hot climate of Mexico. I chose to flare the dress at the bottom because traditional Mexican dresses are often flared. I tied in my personal effect on the dress by including the floral detail and the bow which are often seen in modern catwalk fashions around the world at the moment.
