While studying the theme of Mexico, I came to the conclusion that a garment based on 'Mexico' can't be influenced by one specific Mexican thing. I wanted to do a dress which incorporated as many things from Mexico as I could think of, but colour wise this wouldn't have worked. I designed my final dress with manuscript printed fabric and silky multi-toned fabric which is supposed to be all the colours oil can reflect. The frayed edges of the dress are to represent the poverty in Mexico.
