My dress is inspired by Mexican fashion, Aztec patterns and the designs of Matthew Williamson. The vibrant colours and strong patterns give the dress a Mexican feel, whilst the floaty, non - tailored and highwaisted 'skirt' is in the style of Williamson. The top layer is fine pleated silk, similar to short dress in his recent collection, which fans out on movement. The bottom layer consists of filmy, printed silk panels.
