The things that inspired me during designing this Mexican dress were; the bright, fiery colours of Mexican food i.e. chillies; Mexican celebrations and music. And the patterns and designs on Mexican dresses and Matthew Williamson's dresses. I decided to design a dress in the shape of a sombrero because this personally represents Mexico to me, as soon as I heard that we had to design a Mexican dress a sombrero hat was the first thing that sprung to mind.
