My design inspiration comes from different aspects of Mexican culture. I looked at Mexican fabrics, in a book of World Textiles by John Gillet. I did research on Frida Kahlo whose paintings inspired the colours in my designs. I also looked at historical Mexican buildings and Mexican dancers' dresses and the way they moved.
