I looked at Matthew Williamson's Spring/Summer 2008 collection and saw that his collection was also themed around Mexico. I understood how he did not incorporate any jewelry, how he used a natural based model with hardly any acessories and no hairstyle to make the bold colours and prints of the clothes show there full potential and stand on their own. I used a linen base and added vibrant, striking colours over the top e.g the belt. I also saw in Matthew's collection that he used a stylish show with a block colour throughout the collection. In my outfit there is a lot of wraps e.g shoes - wrapped around the model's foot. I myself, like Matt, have used a bold colour on them, to make them stand on their own as an individual. I hope that I can show the spice, and the natural earth of Mexico, I hope that I can show, in my design, the feeling of the true Mexico.
