I opted for a more natural approach to this one, using imagery of nature in the birds as well as scanning in the unpredictable mark of ink on paper as the background. The figure is hand-drawn after experimentation in sketchbook as to which style to go for. A bit of vector work is to connote a more modernised genre that Ed plays in counter with his say 'hippie' attire and free-loving spirit. For example the 'plus' symbol, promoting positive thinking which is why I also chose the photo where Ed looked most at peace. I didn't want too much colour in this as it seemed too obvious a choice, the slight inclusion of red plays off nuances of brown and green where as white actually contains the whole colour spectrum pre dispersion, like a rainbow waiting to envelope the landscape, this album is waiting to be opened for the colourful songs to embrace us.
