In el policia's interview page it says they play minimal and intelligent music-and think outside the box. I tried to display this graphically. As the competition is based around portraiture, I thought it would be a good idea to display this more literally, trying to think outside the box. Because of El Policia's raw sound a gallery seemed too dressed up for them, instead I chose almost a mock gallery background, to create that anti-image they mention. Reflecting the apathy of modern Britain, I put on the graffiti and set the gallery in a kitchen.
