Title: El Policia

I chose to create an album cover for the band 'El Policia' because as well as liking their music, I liked their individual and collective styles meaning that I thought their photos would make great album art and I could create an interesting piece from them. I think by stenciling their image this puts across their authentic sound and the neutral tones reflect the 'deep and mysterious' colours they like as well as helping to give the feel of the 'dimly lit basement' the band began in. I created a stencil from their image and simply sprayed black paint onto a ripped cardboard box. I then took a photo of this on my garage floor, hopefully creating a good album cover which helps represent the bands down to earth beginnings.
