The play is divided into two sections. Scenes 1, 3, 5 and 7 take place in a computer café (two computers facing each other) to the left of the stage.

Scenes 2, 4 and 6 take place in the centre-stage and stage-right. The characters in these scenes will wear black and white and any 'speech' will either be mimed or the words will be indistinct.

Scene 1

(Liv, an outwardly shy girl with short, dark hair sits opposite her friend
Sam. We join them mid-way through a conversation.)

Liv: I don't know what to say to her!

Sam: It doesn't matter! (Pause) How come you guys fell out?

Scene 2

(5 years previously. The Younger Liv (who has long hair) and Aimee are both on exercise bikes, centre-stage. Aimee says something and Liv giggles. Then Aimee produces an MP3 player, passes an earphone to Liv, then shows her the track name.)

Scene 3

(Liv is typing, Sam stood looking over her shoulder, he has obviously been helping her)

Sam: So, you did triathlon'

Liv: (Pause) Yeah.

Sam: I thought you hated sports!

Liv: I didn't used to

(Continues typing. Looks up at Sam, he nods, she presses a key)

Done!

Scene 4

(Liv and Aimee are running together and talking, stage-right. A Guy, starts jogging alongside them. He and Aimee talk, then run on ahead, leaving Liv lagging behind.)

Scene 5

Sam: That sucks.

Liv: (Uncomfortably) Yeah'well'saw him a few weeks later and'

Sam: (Cuts her off) You get his number?

(Liv nods.)

Sam: I can't imagine you stealing your mate's boyfriend.

(Liv shrugs)

Liv: I didn't steal him ' they weren't even going out!

Scene 6

(Stage-right. A few months later. Liv enters with the guy, both carrying swim bags. She seems more confident. She glances quickly over her shoulder and then they kiss. At that moment Aimee enters. She shouts something at Liv, who pulls away. She is evidently trying to explain. The argument gets more heated. Aimee shoves Liv, who then pushes her back. The guy, in the meantime, has quickly disappeared. The girls continue to fight. The Coach walks in and shouts. They break apart. As he lectures them we can see from his actions that he is asking them to leave the team. Both girls are protesting.
The scene freezes as Sam and present-day Liv stand and watch them.)

Sam: Harsh!

Liv: Not really ' we'd kept missing practice and'I think she knew I was hiding something (Pauses) Anyway, she'd been in a mood with me for a while.

(They both return to the computers. The scene unfreezes. Coach leaves. The girls are left staring at each other, then Aimee storms out.)

Scene 7

(They sit for a while in silence, each absorbed in what is on their screens. Liv suddenly looks nervous. Biting her lip she clicks on something, then slowly a smile spreads across her face.)

Liv: Oh my God!!!

Sam: What? (Jumps out of his seat and looks at her computer. There is a pause as he reads what is on the screen.) Told you she'd want to meet up!
