Scene 1

(George's bedroom with a small bed, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe with George sitting on his bed writing in a book)

(Enter Giorgio)

George: Giorgio!

Giorgio: George!

(Giorgio sits on George's bed)

George: (flatly) Too Much Work

(George tosses the book to the other side of the bed)

Giorgio: you know that thing today on careers do you know what you want to do?

George: Haven't really thought about it I suppose. What do you want to do?

Giorgio: I want to be an MP, you know to sort out this country, It's in a bigger mess than Tom's room and that's saying something!!!

George: Speaking of which I wish the schools would stop trying to control our lives. Every school I've been to the school is always controlling what you do.

Giorgio: exactly, people keep saying we have freedom but none of us lot ever get it!!!!!!

(Giorgio gets off the bed and walks out)

My world: Inspiration My Inspiration for this piece was some friends in London thought that going to a boarding school was stupid and was odd and out of the ordinary but I say that this play proves them wrong and shows it¿s not as bad as they think. It¿s also about us trying to keep order in our lives. A kind of hierarchy of who¿s at the bottom are ignored, people who are at the top have good time but are usually only friends with people who are at the top as well which is very few and is always under fire from people lower down and people who stay at the top either go back down again or stay there in which they get less and less friends by the day. Also sixth formers say stuff like you should try drugs their good but most people ignore them. Also the usual thing of trying to get into the middle of the hierarchy and also trying to get on with school work etc.
