Title: 'You're not alone'

by Adele from Cheshire | in writing, fiction

ANYA
[Walking up behind Nox]

Nox! What's wrong honey?

NOX
[Slouching on a bench outside college]

Nothing really

ANYA
[Sits down next to him]

I know you too well,
You never skip class. I'm here for you.

NOX
[Turns to Anya]

You're a great friend Anya.

ANYA
And I'm all ears'

NOX
[Sighs then takes a deep breath]

It's been going on for a while,
Nothing physical,
Just names. They hurt.

ANYA
[Anya takes hold of Nox's hand]

We will get through this together, you're not alone.

NOX
[Looking into Anya's eyes]

When I feel alone, I think of you and I'll never be alone again.

ANYA
[Anya takes Nox in her arms and hugs him tight]

Nox, you're the most talented, intelligent person I know
They won't be calling you when you perform life saving surgery on them!
This is Britain and we need you, those idiots just don't know it yet.

[Anya turns to Nox, puts her hand to his face and kisses him gently]
