Title: [untitled]

by Taylor | in writing, fiction

'Alrite?' One of them jeered as I approached. 'Going to run away again, or are you going to do it this time?' Jojo, the leader spat. A month ago she was my idol, my inspiration. Yesterday, she was a demon incarnate. I'll never forget her blood stained hand as the blade punctured her victim's chest. I ran. I didn't have the bottle for it. On the estate life was hard. Jojo took me in, she was my saviour and her gang gave me the respect I needed. I couldn't say no, I'd be in for it. 'Yeah, I'm ready!'

I wrote this piece because I heard that there are alot of girl gangs around that are more violent than the boys ones. I tried to picture that not all of them are bad, just misunderstood, or mislead. I took on the persona of someone who had to undergo an initiation into a girl gang and regretted it. I entitled it, 'pressure' because the girl was peer pressured into joining.
