WORD
One of my new years resolutions is to extend my vocabulary.Nothing to do with listening to too many Russell Brand podcasts I swear. I have a pile of books beside my bed that will take about 2 years to get through and beside that I have a dictionary/thesaurus. Thus I will try and do a 'Word Of The Day' every time I put up a post on this blog. Any interesting words you've got..hit me with them..

Bucolic - meaning 'of the countryside'. And to think I always thought it was some sort of a disease.
Hey Annie - You might make your living off music, but I, I do it off words.
So... lets see, where to begin - well... in this age of world hatred and violence lets start with IRENIC - "Tending to promote peace; conciliatory."
OK... ummm.... EFFACE - "To make (oneself) inconspicuous."
And... oh I don't know - what about BRICOLAGE - "Construction or something constructed by using whatever materials happen to be available." I.G. "Annie Mac uses a BRICOLAGE of music to Mash Up the club scene in the UK and the 麻豆官网首页入口."
Annie, the best way to learn words (I feel anyway) is to go to Dictionary.com and sign up for their FREE "Word of the Day," which they will e-mail to your inbox each and every day so that you can learn interesting new words and build your vocab up.

Appy New Year and all that Annie, twas a splendid show tonite an no mistake! Dunno about learnin new words each day but my track of the day - an therefore of the year (so far) is that Soulwax mix of The Gossip. Unequivocally!!

Scott thank you for that handy tip. I shall sign up to dictionary.com eventually, but will wait until I'm finished my plethora (ahem) of books and have learnt every word I can that way before getting the word a day sent to me.

Would it be ok to suggest that today's word be 'cobblers'? I settled down this evening to catch the Nightingale's show, hoping to listen to the A-Skills AND the SMD mixes - only to discover that there'd been another show since?!
Hence cobblers... Listening to your last show might help this week along though, so I'll keep you posted.
