Open Springfield
Occasionally I go a little off-topic to draw attention to some of my other work for the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú, since freedom of information is only one part of what I do. And this is another such occasion.
I've produced a programme about the political values of The Simpsons, being broadcast on Radio 4 at 10.30 am tomorrow morning. You can read more about it .
But I wouldn't want you to think there is no connection between FOI and Springfield's famous family. After all, The Simpsons have been the subject of an from Downing Street - although these documents have little relation to the content of Tony Blair's appearance on the show.

I just caught the trail for the radio show, Martin. I never caught up with the Simpsons but have seen the occasional show and laughed uproariously although I am sure I am missing a lot of the sub text but keeping them at the same age means the tensions remain constant between characters. Genius.
Kelsey Crammer recurring character pyscho killer (shameless stolen from the re-make of Cape Fear and Night of The Hunter) is funny yet truly disturbing as a sort of Indian Joe after the Tom Sawyer of Bart. And Homer - well thank heavens for his missus.
I will try and catch the show though.
