Put yourself on the PM listener map!
We'd love to know WHERE you listen to PM. Then we can put you - and all our other listeners on the big PM listener map. It's all being organised by our interactive, hyperactive sister programme iPM.
Taking part is simple: Click here!
Please don't add your postcode on the PM Blog or the iPM Blog - instead please follow the simple instructions here.
doh - simple instructions and i still got it wrong!
ipm@bbc.co.uk NOT pm@bbc.co.uk
sorry if i brought yer mail server to grinding halt
DiY, finger on the pulse:)
Eddie - I am in the Republic of Ireland. We don't have postcodes outside Dublin. What should I do?
Idle query, Paddy; are you in the Wicklow/Wexford area?
Oh, Eddie...please tell me I don't need to have a TV license to listen to the radio??? Otherwise, I might be under severe pressure to get a TV ... and radio listening in this household will subsequently decline ...
What happens next? I'm sure we've been told, but I probably wasn't listening ... naughty step here I come ...
Sid
Eddie – This evening I was listening to PM whilst in bed with my 22 year old mistress, we were celebrating her success in the Miss World contest.
Of course this is not true – but as I believe your interest may be part of this government’s addiction for surveillance, it is my attempt to corrupt their database.
Does this survey accept entries sent via a Finnish anonymising service?
For some reason I am being reminded of the Prayer of the poor poet to the capitalist: 'Open your wallet and repeat after me, Help yourself'
As a matter of interest, what do you want this information *for*? To show where your listeners are, right. For what purpose? To make a map. Er, yes, and to do what with it after that?
wot, me, cynical?
I thought the point of it is that it's a pointless bit of meaningless fun - should I change my nom-de-frog to Pollyanna?!
At the risk of stating the obvious - Eddie didn't have to ask us for our postcodes - and we don't have to tell him ...
Sid
Now sid - listen carefully. I was having a nap - with Eddie on - between 5 and 6 but woke up 3 times and heard him harping on 3 times about it.
As Gillian said - it's all pointless and meaningless. We will end up with a map - presumably when you hover the mouse over it will reveal that you are a listener in that area.
Now whether our names will appear, I know not?
I have a feeling that there will be more dots in Scotland than in England.
Bea @4: Fear not, radio is free.
For the paranoid: the TV Licencing people failed to make use of the Channel 5 re-tuning exercise about 10 years ago, when the nation's TV's were re-tuned without checking to the licence register. I doubt that anyone is going to try to sort individuals from anything so vague as a postcode. If, like me, you have no TV licence, then you are already identified.
