Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Radio 5live: Mayo and Kermode's Film Review from Edinburgh

Mayo and KermodeFor 20 years now Simon Mayo and Mark Kermode have been disagreeing about the latest film releases on air. And this March things reached a whole new level as they locked their critical horns in Leeds in front of a live audience.

Now, with plaudits from the last excursion still ringing in their ears, the duo are repeating the trick at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. This time the event will be filmed with the best bits shown on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Red Button. Simon's even promised the Good Doctor Kermode an appearance by a silver screen celebrity of "substantial size". Whether he was talking physical dimensions or international renown we're not sure, but we'll be pressing red to find out!

Blue Peter: Behind the Scenes

Blue PeterNine months into the job and Blue Peter presenter Joel Defries looks pretty comfortable in front of the camera - you might say he's a natural. But how would he fare if asked to step over to the other side of the lens? Well Red Button viewers are about to find out as he takes the reins of CÂ鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's flagship programme for the first time, directing his fellow presenters and studio crew. This might just be Joel's toughest challenge yet.

As you listen, the audio is complemented by glanceable LiveText, such as details of the track being playing, sports scores and news headlines. For those who want to dig deeper, pressing the red button launches programme information, station news and links to related eTV events. Every national Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú radio station has its own bespoke service. Alongside those ten national stations, five of the nation's stations and five regional stations also have their own Red Button service on Virgin Media.

A recent reshuffle of services on Freeview meant that we were able to extend the full radio interface to listeners of the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú World Service in the UK – around one and a half million of them at the last count.

World Service Red Button on Freeview offers live information about the station including whatÂ’s on now and next, the full programme schedule, the latest world news headlines and a look at what's coming soon. With the station offering such a rich mix of world news, investigations, documentaries, debate and discussion, daily business, science, arts and sport we hope the service will help listeners around the schedule to the programmes that interest them most.
