I'm the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's media correspondent and this is my brief selection of what's going on.

My analysis shows Jeremy Hunt left more questions than answers about his vision for local TV at the end of his Royal Television Society speech. Media executives remained unconvinced and the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's Mark Thompson played down the role that the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú might play.

Jeremy Hunt backtracked on suggestions that ITV and Channel 4 might lose their places on the front page of the electronic programme guide.
