Lords-a-waiting ... and waiting

If you were at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday a few questions might have come to mind:
How did Warren Gatland do it?
Why didn't your Dad buy that debenture when he had the chance?
What was Gerald Davies so busy scribbling just as eighty minutes were up?
But Dafydd Wigley, who was there, had other questions to ask when he bumped into Kevin Brennan MP. He was, says an avid rugby fan, wondering whether the MP4 guitarist and well-informed Cardiff West MP had any idea when he made finally be made a Lord.
Sadly he didn't ...
The three Plaid nominees - Mr Wigley, Janet Davies and Eurfyl ap Gwilym - have been waiting patiently since the in January to find out what happens next. They've been nominated, are all dressed up but so far, have nowhere to go.
Does the phone ring? Will there be a letter in the post? Or does Black Rod call round with the good news?
The perfect opportunity to answer Mr Wigley's question is about to present itself: his 65th birthday on ... April 1st.

Gerald Davies was probably writing notes for his regular column in the Times on rugby. I think that the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú should stick to wasting our money on buying the rights to the larger version of Scaletrix.
A Plaid Cymru member at a rugby match? barring Janet Ryder (Rugby League - and Hull at that) I didn't think any of them were aware what rugby was! - Oh then again i suppose now we're winning it's good to keep face! As for the Lords appointment what's the hurry? Wigley in a hurry to swear allegiance to Her Majesty again and become a Lord of the Realm...of Great Britain and Northern Ireland? I knew he'd come around eventually!!!!
So the left wing Plaid has really sold itself down the river, the excuse for knighting Plaid members is the Lords has the law making powers for Wales, so the three can go to the lords and and change the minds of other elected lords members, what a load of tosh, it's all about snobbery, Plaid is now a self serving party, feeding on it's limited powers granted to them by the Welsh Labour powerbrokers. Where are the laptops for all junior schoolkids. Thank goodness I resigned from the party.

There you go again, creating false perceptions to suit your own agenda. Where and when did you play rugby, or was it rugger in your case?
Just to correct you, IWJ has been a long term Newport RFC fan and I assume that he has transferred that support to the Dragons. Dr Dai Lloyd was a very useful winger before a broken leg curtailed his playing days. Plaid's group leader in Swansea Council plays regularly for his local team (you can't say that of many Labour Councillors, I suggest). I joined Plaid for something to do after being forced out of rugby with a smashed up knee. The list goes on, as you invariably do.....

Speedy Dr Dai Lloyd AM was a razor sharp winger until a broken leg finished his rugby exploits. Plaid's Swansea Council group leader Darren Price is a regular for his local village team and even IWJ is a long time Newport RFC supporter. I myself took up Plaid after injury forced me out of rugby-I thought it would keep me out of mischief!
Please inform Bethan's readership of your rugby exploits, or was it 'rugger' in your case?
