Blog upgrade explained

Alex Trickett | 16:31 UK time, Thursday, 17 April 2008

We have just put through some significant upgrades to our blog system. The good news is that they should make life much easier for you. We know there have been publishing delays in the past and these should be eased.

The biggest change you will notice is that you now have to register in order to make a comment. You can do so here or by following the link below this post.

Registration brings the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú blog network into line with other interactive platforms on the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú like and and will enable us to manage your comments better.

It will make it easier for you to publish a response to one of our blogs quickly because we are hopeful that spam - which has brought our blog system to its knees in the past - should now be much more manageable.

Expect other improvements associated with this upgrade later in the year.

Content wise, there should be no change at all. We will continue to give you the chance to comment on the big issues around sport and look out for our new Olympics and Euro 2008 blogs, which will be launching soon.

Happy blogging. We look forward to hearing from you. And if you have any thoughts on the upgrades please join the conversation on our Sport Editors' blog.
