Brooke Kinsella

Victoria Derbyshire | 13:03 UK time, Wednesday, 27 August 2008

Brooke Kinsella, the sister of Ben Kinsella, the 16 year old stabbed to death in June is planning to visit police in New York to see the lessons that can be learned for this country. Ben was celebrating the end of his GCSE exams when he was killed in June. Last week his family collected his results for him. He passed with flying colours.

Since Ben's death, his sister, the former Eastenders actress, has been campaigning against knife crime. Later this year two 18 year olds and a 19 year old will go on trial charged with Ben's murder.

Brooke told me what she hoped to learn from the Police in New York.

Ben's death had a massive impact on the young people in her area. Two days after his death there was a march for Ben, and against knife crime.

And she told me why she wants to go into schools to educate young people about the consequences of knife crime.
