Listen: NE Wales podcast
In this week's NE Wales Update, we hear how some residents living in the path of a planned new road in Queensferry are being left out in the cold; a company director tells how a police marksman accidentally fired a shot into his factory; and there's a happy ending for the pigeon trapped in a chimney. We've just upload a new section giving quick links to photos, stories and much more about our region's mountains.

Read stars' mail
Among those receiving fan mail this week is TV comedy actor Rhodri Meilir from Mold and the works of the late writer Dorothy Hartley also come in for praise.

Rants and raves
Migrant workers - Emily: "In my school, at least 10 percent of the pupils are Polish. And now my school have included Polish in our school planners, and a GCSE qualification."

North Wales Hospital - Shirley: "I was so saddened to see the photos of the hospital. A really sad state for such a loved place to finish up in."

Church - Chris: "Things went down hill when Sundays became 'wet' in Wales and worst of all when shops opened on Sundays - that has become the 'church' to a lot of people."

Ghost ship sighting - investigator and author Richard: "Trains, planes and automobiles... yep, all can appear as ghosts. Ghosts aren't necessarily spirits of the dead - frankly, if they exist at all (and I believe they do), we simply don't know what they are. Playbacks from the past?":

Ruthin's menfolk strip for charity - Clemency: "This calender has been put together by some very brave men in order to raise funds for this worthwhile charity."

Wrexham's Eagles Meadow development - James: "I feel that once Eagles Meadow opens, Queen Street, Hope Street and Regent Street will be eerily quiet as people converge in their cars to Eagles Meadow and bypass these streets."
