Impassioned plea about Flint - Ellie on bbc.co.uk/flint
"Please help us Flintshire County Council, the maisonettes are a terrible place to live now they are in a terrible state of repair. Not only that we are having to put up with people causing trouble almost every weekend with the police having to attend - it's beyond a joke and it's scary - kids with cans of beer filling the stairways, rubbish everywhere including furniture, we have people leaving bins on the walkways with mice running up and down the walkways. It's a disgrace, and very unhealthy. People have cats and are leaving food out at night and that is attracting all kinds of vermin. One elderly resident has even seen rats around. Why do we have to live like this? I for one am not used to living like this and it's making me ill. I am terrified to open my front door for one reason or another. And I speak for lots of residents. Help us!"

- Evening Leader
But the town faces an uphill battle after the Welsh Assembly Government Minister for Heritage, Alun Ffred Jones, removed Wrexham from a list of potential sites, claiming it was not accessible enough.

Podcast - NE Wales Update
