Liberia: What should happen to Charles Taylor?
The Liberian government has requested that of the country Charles Taylor, who is living in exile in Nigeria.
He has been indicted for war crimes, but he agreed to step down and leave the country in 2003 as part of a peace deal. What do you think should happen now?
Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo is speaking with the African Union and the regional group ECOWAS - the Economic Community of West African States.
His office says he will make his decision based on the views from these two regional bodies.
Charles Taylor stepped down as Liberian leader and went into exile in Nigeria in 2003 under an international deal to end Liberia's 14-year civil war.
Since then a UN-backed court in neighbouring Sierra Leone has indicted him for war crimes, and Liberia's new president, Helen Johnson has come under increasing international pressure to bring Mr Taylor to justice.
Mr Taylor is accused of selling diamonds and buying weapons for Sierra Leone's Revolutionary United Front rebels, who were notorious for hacking off the hands and legs of civilians during a 10-year war.
