Wednesday's programme
Not too many ideas kicking around today, but we're clear that we want to hear your stories of Chernobyl. Amidst all the debates about the political impact of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, and the current intense debate about nuclear energy, we shouldn't lost sight of the human impact of the accident. We want to hear from Ukrainians and others about their memories of the incident and its continuing effect on their lives.
We hope to be going live to a commemoration by Ukrainians living in London and to hear from some of them. We also want to hear from students and other younger Ukrainians; what does Chernobyl mean to them? Are they involved in the debate about nuclear power in Ukraine? Do they feel anger or shame about the disaster, or perhaps a sense that they're fed up with all the media interest and want to move on. We'll see.
And one other story: our debate about young people and crime has attracted some interesting comments on the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's website. The question we're asking - ' was prompted by a new grassroots movement of British mothers who've formed a political party because they're angry that the authorities aren't doing enough to make their communities safe.
We'll be hearing from people around the world on this, and there's plenty of time for you to get in touch and let us know what you think. Perhaps you've been a victim of youth crime? Maybe you're fed up with the media tarring all youngsters with the same negative image. Whatever your view, we'd like to hear it.
