| | Ann Brain is a Coventry-born painter who is now based in Bilton, Rugby.
Talking about her work, Ann said: "Art is a mysterious and risky business. I try to look at the world through innocent eyes and paint from the heart, and I hope that people will approach my work with similarly open eyes and minds."

Ann records objects very realistically, as her Custrad Doughnut, Allsorts and Pink Tulip paintings (in the online gallery) show.
In 2002 she, and fellow artist Helen Bone, were awarded an exhibition in Rugby Art Gallery, which was very well received, and in 2003 she won the Purchase Prize at the Rugby Open.
A number of her works have been reproduced as cards, prints and illustrations.
