The programme this year continues to showcase the very best of Irish talent with a procession, golf, music, dance and more. The festival also has the traditional favourites such as the daily 'Craic Under the Canopy' alongside new events such as 'Celtic Crossing 2002' at The Leofric Hotel.
Daily events will be held under the canopy in Broadgate and various events will be held at other locations around the city.
Kay Forrest, the festival chairman said:
"This festival just gets better and better. For one week we get to paint our wonderful city green and all Coventry kids get to be Irish!
"There really is so much going on this year, we are sure that everyone will enjoy what promises to be a fabulous festival.

"Organising the event this year has been amazing. It's going really well because people have been responding so well to all the events. So many people are calling for tickets for the Saturday night gala, it's going to be great."
Kay said the events are expected to be exceptional:
"As always this year promises to be very special, from the tranquillity and serenity of the annual Peace Procession in the cathedral ruins, through to traditional storytelling, music and dance.
"There really is something for everyone. All the Irish pubs and clubs in the city play a part and keep the entertainment flowing long into the night.
"Most importantly, please remember you don't have to be Irish to be a part of the festival, all are welcome."
