One of Broadway's best jazz musicals is on at Warwick Arts Centre between Wednesday 22 January to Saturday 25 January 2003.
Music Theatre Warwick return to the Warwick Arts Centre to perform City of Angels - a jazz musical.
City of Angels was critically acclaimed on Broadway as 'a witty and stylish film noir musical' winning 6 Tony Awards and The New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.

The show is one of the rarest of musical comedies with a brilliant contemporary jazz score by composer Cy Coleman and filled with side-splitting comedy.
Set in the glamorous, seductive Hollywood of the 40's, the world of film studios and flimsy negligees, the show chronicles the misadventures of Stine, a young novelist, attempting a screenplay for movie producer, Buddy Fidler.

It is a tale of decadence and homicide with a liberal sprinkling of femmes fatales.
Music Theatre Warwick is run by students from Warwick University and establishing a local reputation for quality musical theatre entertainment following their popular success last year with Bernstein's West Side Story and Sondheim's Company.
This year a workshop for students from Stratford-upon-Avon College will be run alongside the production.

Josh Hill, the producer of City of Angels said:
"MTW had great success last year with 'West Side Story' and we're building on that achievement this year with an experienced production team and some great new talent on stage. 'City of Angels' offers MTW the opportunity to perform a different style of musical theatre.
