But they exist under constant threat from violence from unforgiving ex-partners and unrelenting former husbands.

Celebrating 30 years...

Women often come from difficult circumstances with children in tow and few belongings.

Some comments over the last 30 years from women they have helped include: "Thank you for helping me with my injuries. We love you all for it...";

"How do you say thank you to a group of people who have been there every day for six months, who will listen, give advice, respect you for who you are...";

"Thank you all for giving me the strength to carry on... I came in here down and out, but I'm leaving with a lot of happy memories..."
