Amy Byers

Amy is 21 years-old and comes from Burton-On-Trent.

She's hoping working for 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Derby this summer will be an excellent way to introduce her into the working world after just graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in Psychology.

During the placement she will be covering stories from a wide musical spectrum; ranging from heavy metal rock festivals to trance DJ events.

Meeting Metronomy

Her focus will be on local and unsigned bands and musical talent to see if Derby may be cultivating the next big thing.

Amy has been passionate about music from a young age, beginning with taking part in school plays and musicals whilst attending stage school at weekends.

Throughout her three years at university she realised that she was not going to be the next Madonna or Britney Spears, so she started channelling her love for music into promoting music events instead.

She also worked in Ibiza last summer promoting dance music nights, which she particularly loves, along with newer indie nights which are exploding into the Ibiza scene.

She is regular on the festival and gig scene and can鈥檛 wait to start to start covering these music events as her job!
