I know this is not about TA but it is about ML which is frequented by many people who talk about all sorts of things. Not all necessarily listen to TA, afaik, and anyway, I don't think it's a requisite to posting.
I can't help noticing but every time one of our Lovely neighbours sets up a thread in TBU it's closed. The last one was started yesterday and was closed after just one completely harmless and friendly post.
Why?
I can't remember anything untoward happening.
It seems totally arbitrary which threads are closed and which are left.Is this the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú trying to kill off TBU? A bad move which will upset the many people who use it.
If that's not the reason, then it looks like prejudice against individual posters.
I'd be very interested to hear the explanation, but I bet 20 quid Keri didn't know anything about it.
They shouldn't just be modded and have their threads closed, they should be rounded up and deported to their own country, whatever it's called!
Do you feel the same away about the 606 people, Mike?
Personally, I like the idea of open borders in cyberspace.
Or am I taking you too seriously?
>I'd be very interested to hear the explanation, but I bet 20 quid Keri didn't know anything about it.
You'd win your bet, too. I certainly didn't do it. I don't know if it ws done because action is being taken against specific users, but I'll investigate.
Sea Nymph wrote <<. . . a bad move, which will upset the many people who use it>>
Pious thoughts, Sea Nymph, with which I wholly sympathise.
But since when did the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú show a single scintilla of sympathy for its message board users?
I think posters on any section of this MB ought to be Archers listeners, otherwise what is the point? I also believe that Discuss the Archers should do just that
Surely if the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú wanted to kill off The Bull, it could and it would: just as it changed the way these boards work.
What is so wrong with us coming over here and talking to you guys...we don't break any rules and everyone is more than welcome to visit us in Lovely why should we have to stick to our own MB's
Nothing, but someone who works for the MB system is clearly gunning for you Lovely people.
They really don't like us...even on our own boards but we are moving from the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú soon and will have our own indepentant boards
Hello Marie,
Why do you think they don't like you?
My own experience of Lovely people is that they can be a bit boisterous (remember when they tried to invade?) but I really enjoyed it when they sought asylum here when they were locked out when the MBs were down - they threw some great parties!
I can't remember any trolling or whatever other nasties go on in cyberspace. And they mostly stay in their Embassy unless invited to another thread (or join in amicably as others do).
I find their visits refreshing. Don't lock them out!
Eliza....shreiks...Eliza - start knitting those placards!
Thank you Keri for saying you'll investigate.
Hi Mrs Pugsley yeah i remember the invasion i was amoCRIT hehe
i dunno why they don't like us but they seem to have it in for us

It's probably me. When I got banned from the CR boards the mods must have noticed me hanging round the embassy threads here. The same thing happened to the Collective thread I started around the same time.
Yeah it's you...*points at Rev*
I blame the Devil
I was lead astray by "the wrong sort"
Embassy number 6 is now locked
I was lead astray by "the wrong sort"Â
Who was that Rev??
Oh you know, drunks, alcoholics, those sort of people
Not me then......i started a new embassy
How long will it last
*stands back to avoid alco-breath*
Probably longer than your's
*distrusts civil servant*
Dantzig's embassy lasted one message
hmmm well we will see
Mine got removed totally so I get the record
*notices Marie is swaying all over the place*
Removed totally?? which one?
*wonders why Rev looks like Will Smith*
I think it was number 3
*wonders why Marie is dressed like Britney Spears*
Did you swear again Rev...i have told you about swearing
*twirls pigtail*....*thinks Rev should stop singing switch now*
>if it was done because action is being taken against specific users
Yes, it was pretty much as I suspected. Sorry chaps but it's between certain of the Lovely folk, their hosts and the moderators.
Thanks for this Keri, but I still don't understand why whole threads are being closed rather than individual messages (from problem posters) modded...
I suppose it's not really my business but I do hate to see unfair discrimination.

On the contrary Mrs P in a small way you have been standing up for the best traditions of free speech and human solidarity. To paraphrase Deitrich Bonhoeffer, " when they came for Lovely I did nothing because I wasn't a citizen of Lovely..."
Thank you.
Don't worry chaps, me and the dannywallace mods are old enemies. I've got their measure
WoOp my embassy is still open
But for how long?
By the way, I think an embassy opened by a Archers member would be immune
Probably till tomorrow and i think you maybe right
I bet this time last year you never thought you'd end up in a feud with Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú employees
I didn't you know..i think i fell in with the wrong crowd

WHAT CANT! WHAT HYPOCRISY!
Since when has any part of the world wide web (and not just the cosy, mimsy little corner apparently inhabited by cat_lady) been exclusive?

Dont say I cant post here just cos I dont listen to the Archers! I like it here cos people are friendly and nice unlike in some other places. Its my refuge when I get in trouble elsewhere...
I'm going to close this thread now.
Oh no why?
