Sorry if I'm being thick but could someone tell me why on earth Ruth was pouring out her heart to Usha in her brother-in-law's cafe? Turned on prog. in the middle.

Everyone agrees it's just daft to have a private conversation in your bro-in-law's café. You could contrive a story about how she's trying to act normal, but nobody's tried to argue that.

While out shopping I meet my sister-in law, she looked very pale and sad so I took her to a cafe for a coffee and a chat.
Over coffee she told me that her marriage was over, she had a lover and the her lover was a woman. All this in a busy cafe. Mind you, the cafe was not run by a family member as in TA.
