I read an article in the DT mentioning the disapperance since AUGUST of the charcter SHULA. Has any thing been released on this subject OR is it of no significance and just an actor wishing to have a break from the Pebble Mill Studios?

Well she'll have to be back for Christmas because she's providing Christmas dinner for the clan (minus the Dopeys and offspring). Unless they just concentrate on 'the best Christmas ever' at Brookfield.
(Don't look if you believe that RT cast list is accurate and hate spoilers)
The Hebden-Lloyd family aren't in the cast list, so it looks like a silent Christmas lunch at The Stables.

They can all join Christine in her silent Christmas lunch, and indeed, her silent life.

Actually it's a third option. Judy Bennett has been available but the storylines haven't required the character's presence. It happens from time to time, given the size of the cast.

So she's not down the mine shaft? Poo!
I don't suppose you could arrange for to happen to Ruth? Just for a year or ten?
Ah well
