No, it will be noticed that there was a large number of posts, and that therefore the audience had 'engaged' with the issue, which is what is seen as good drama."
Is that actually the case? It doesn't matter if the stories are any good or well presented as long as people are talking about them?
I realise it looks as though I'm just making a fuss about a story I don't like, but feelings are running very high from a wide cross section of Mustardeers. Most telling thread I think being this
Is it right for TA to be hijacked for a "part of the pan-Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú season on infertility ethics"? Isn't this a bit like 'product placement' undermining the integrity and realism of the programme?
Too many questions (sorry) but short of bunging up your email address this is the only way I can think of getting definitive answers.
Or not....apparently.
I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad that you seem to expect an answer on the same day, Sean, when the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's target for responding to correspondence is two weeks. Or do you feel that I'm not entitled to any Christmas holiday and should have been here every day to respond to queries?
In fact, we were already planning to do this storyline. When we became aware that the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú had a related season we chose to time the story so that it coincided with it. Hardly hi-jacking.
Sorry, Keri.It was just that at time of writing I was a bit het up by what I thought was hi-jacking of TA, having stories forced upon the SWs by your bosses, giving it (imo) a horribly rushed and clunky sound.
Also I forget that not everyone is as indolent as I, with hardly any Christmas holiday but granted hours to lark about in Mustardland while getting paid for it.I saw your stars were blazing and reacted in a 'post in haste, repent at leisure' sort of way
Apologies again
No probs. Thanks Sean.
Personally I'm genuinely impressed by how much time Mr Keri spends in ML (what a creep!). Alternatively, I'm horrified how much I do!
But the rather cynical point quoted in Message 1 remains, even if in this case there was no actual 'high-jackling' - that sometimes it does seem that a flurry of criticism is more welcome than a stoney silence and you can't please them all enyway... I was of course quoting from the "bless them" interview.
To quote some clever dick: "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about"

Too obscure a reference, dag?

...to which, I believe, the original (and correct) response was "You will, dear boy, you will".
