I saw an Alan Aykbourn play today- 'If I were you'.
It bears more than a passing resemblance to a play I saw some years ago called 'Phil & Jill& Jill & Phil'
I think it was written by one of the Archers cast- was it Ian Pepperell? Is he aware of the similarities? It was the same gender -exchange scenario and the main female character was even called Jill!
I'd be interested to know if this was coincidence
not Mr Keri, but intrigued by your post I googled and found this
which gives the name of the author as Alex Jones
Thanks- I think Ian Pepperell must have acyed in the play.
Not sure who Alex Jones is - but I think he should see the Alan Aykbourn play.It is extraordinarily like his, and he should be acknowledged at least.

oh thanks Mabel-I knew there was some link!
I see that Alex Jones has worked at the Stephen Joseph Theatre too so maybe he has collaborated with the new play.
I didnt like to think it had been 'pinched'.
