Is owned by Matt Crawford, I believe? Alan and Amy went there after Darrington Vicarage developed cracks, and had to be disposed of. But wasn't that just until something else could be sorted out?

Before that it was used as a Doctor's surgery by Tim Hathaway and before that Richard Locke. If I'm correct Robin Stokes, though a non-stipendiary-minister and also working as a vet, lived at the vicarage.

Stokes left following the accident involving Mark and Caroline in 1994, a year after Richard Locke arrived, so where was the surgery before that. (I know that Matthew Thoroughgood used Ambridge Farm, but he also lived there, and Richard certainly didn't do that).

Any illumination on the current position re the vicarage would be good - and also the chronology of its use since the departure of Jerry Buckle.

The only thing I can add to your account is that it was said on the progamme that the use of the Ambridge vicarage is no longer a temporary arrangement - the Darrington one has been sold (I think).

Thanls Mike - my understanding was that the sale of Darrington meant that the use of the Amnbridge house was no longer a stopgap, but would last until the diocese had sorted something more permanent out. Would a long-term tenancy with Matt Crawford be considered? I had an idea that the C of E tended to house its incumbents in their own properties, in a kind of "tied house" arrangement...?
