Could someone just remind me: as I remember it, George was found dead out somewhere in the village. Could someone with a better memory than mine please fill in the details......
    Ta,
    Mel

    Monday 17th January 2005
    David makes a tragic discovery.
Emma is rushed off her feet and Kenton is doing nothing to help; no change there, then. He is bent on ringing old flames. He is coerced into clearing a table and he has a word for Jill and Christine who have been out shopping. Christine suddenly has a very odd feeling.
Out in the Country Park, Phil and David are discussing Nigel's latest interest - hedge laying; he'll do anything to get away from Julia. Their conversation is cut short when the find Walt, George's dog. But where is George?

An ambulance is on its way. There was nothing they could do for George but he looked peaceful. He chose a beautiful spot. David and the faithful Walt stay with him while Phil goes to break the news to his sister.

When Phil arrives at Glebe Cottage, Chris knows straight away that his news was of George. They drive to Lakey Hill because she wants to see him before they take his body away - just a few quiet moments alone with him. Phil looks on, wondering how she will cope. They were soon to move into the bungalow; the fire took everything; they only had each other left.

    Synopsis:
David and Phil are out in the landrover discussing the problem with the cows. David admires the few hedges that are left on Brookfield land. Phil says if he wants any relaying Nigel would probably be keen now he’s been on a hedge laying course. Phil is going to give Nigel and Reg a hand hedging at Lower Loxley next week. David suddenly notices Walt, George’s dog, sitting next to an oak tree, apparently without George. On further investigation they find George’s body; he’s dead. David stays with him and phones for the ambulance while Phil goes to Glebe Cottage to tell Christine. She is devastated, but wants to see George before the ambulance takes him away. Phil is very upset. It’s cruel that Christine should lose George just as they were about to move back into the Police House. He wonders how she will ever manage.

    Perfect Rosie,
do you keep the synopses squirreled away for personal reference or is there a stock somewhere going further back than on ML?

    Thanks a lot,

    Mel

I thought I had been mistaken that George B had been policeman for many years, but wasn't he also a game keeper for about 40 years though ?
How did he manage that then ?

Ten years of summaries (and who told you I've printed them out for easy reference?)

and then I look at appropriate bbc synopsis as well, once I've flicked through the file and found the right date.

    Wow! That's brillant.
Actually, the address of the website seems vaguely familiar: I think I used to receive summaries from a chap called Chris at Lowfield before ML existed (or before I found my way into it.)

    Yours gratefully,

    Mel
