Please forgive me if I've missed a vital episode or some dicussion on this topic, but did Nigel receive the insurance to repair the damaged shop?
I can not see that his claim would have been successful when he was driving a Digger without an appropriate licence, insurance or the owner's permission.
it was all settled, no arguments (and darn quickly too in my opinion) insurancewise.
The insurance ramifications as such were ,according to Keri Davies (scriptwriter and host of these boards), fully researched.
Obviously insured with Commercial Union as there wasn't much drama out of that 'crisis'
This received a lot of discussion a couple of weeks ago. The point is that the shop will be insured under building insurance and the validity of the claim will not depend on the status of the driver. (Consider the case of a joyrider who crashes into a shop.)
